i'm making a furry database!

Thu Jun 25, 2009, 2:41 AM
okay, i've decided to make a furry database with google earth. i want to see as many furries on it as possible, as it'd be great to actually see how abundant we are ^^
just email me your postcode/home town, and i'll add you to it.
for those of you that don't know it, my email is iluvsaphira@hotmail.co.uk
once it's big enough, i'll post a file with the placemarks in it, and update it occasionally as it gets bigger :3

incompatible hardware >.<

Fri May 29, 2009, 1:27 PM
DAMN! just after buying the graphics card, i realised that i have the wrong pci-e port. i have a pci-e x1, which is entirely incompatible with the card i bought. fortunately, my family's PC has a pci-e x16 port, which is the one needed for this card. so, i'm giving it to them. not sure about the PSU on it tho, i'll have to check at some point. unfortunately, the card is non returnable unless it's faulty, so if it won't work in the other system either, we'll have to sell it, causing even more hassle.
this project isn't going to be as easy as i thought...

compy arrived!

Thu May 21, 2009, 4:53 AM
my new PC arrived today! (i'm typing on it now XD) it's fantastic after having been stuck on an old 700mhz lappy for a year. it's got a p4 ht processor (3.2 GHZ) and half a gig of RAM (i've ordered 2 gigs to upgrade.) it runs hl2 ep1 at around 25 fps average on medium quality with aa off and filtering set to Trilinear, which is much faster than i'd thought, as the gpu isn't exactly high-end. i'll be ordering a new graphics card very soon (Nvidia GeForce 8400) which will give me a middle-end gaming system! i'll be uploading pics soon, but i'm not taking any just yet because of the crappy old monitor i'm using until i get my new gpu (when i'll be able to use my 19" lcd tv YAY).
so excuse me, I have some serious fragging to do!

i'm looking at a pc on ebay, it's got a 3.0 ghz pentium 4 hyperthreading processor, nividia geforce2 Ti, about 1 gb of RAM, and an 80 GB hd. what i want to know, is will it be good enough for gaming? (games like portal and hl2 ep1+2)
oh, and it's an ibm thinkcentre m50.
*EDIT*
i just found another one, the processor is a 3.0ghz dual-core p4, it has 1gb of ram, an 80 gig hd, and a dvd rw. not sure about the graphics card tho.
